ELKADER, IOWA ~ If you happen to see a few witch hats making their way down Main Street next Thursday evening, don’t worry.
They may just be headed shopping.
Witches Night Out ~ Witches Shopping and Spells Popping! returns to Elkader on Thursday, October 8, bringing an evening of fall fun to Main Street from 4 to 8 p.m.
The annual event is hosted by the Elkader Area Chamber of Commerce and traditionally takes place on the second Thursday in October. The Chamber invites people to gather their friends or family and join in the evening’s activities.
And really, there’s something pretty fun about seeing a downtown business district lean into the season.
For a few hours, an ordinary Thursday evening becomes an excuse to get out of the house, wander Main Street, visit local businesses and enjoy a little October silliness along the way.
Whether there’s a witch hat involved?
Well… we’ll leave that decision up to you. 🧙♀️
But if you’ve been waiting for an excuse to gather a few friends and spend an autumn evening in Elkader, the witches are giving you one.
