Okay, “little” may be stretching things.
Blank Park Zoo has announced that Skye’s giraffe calf is a GIRL! 🦒💕
During her neonatal exam, zoo veterinary staff determined the newest arrival is female ~ and this baby girl is already weighing in at 128 pounds and approximately 5 feet, 8 to 9 inches tall.
In other words…
She was basically born tall enough to look some of us directly in the eye.
The zoo also shared a livestream featuring Roy, its assistant large mammal supervisor, answering questions about Skye’s calf as everyone gets to know the newest member of the zoo family.
And just look at that face.
We’re pretty sure she already knows she’s adorable. ❤️
